(REC) Introduction to Precision Teaching – Summer 2021 Cohort

Date/Time: Starting the week of July 11th, on Mondays & Thursdays at 8pm EST,  for 7 weeks

Description: This 7-week cohort will walk you through all of the basics of Precision Teaching and it’s critical elements. Cohort members will attend live training sessions, collaborate during open Office Hours, and participate in activities that will encourage the practical application of Precision Teaching principles and techniques.  The content of this cohort will cover the basics of the Standard Celeration Chart, how to create highly specific pinpoints to measure behavior, practice in analyzing data and metrics to inform decisions, an overview of fluency and frequency building procedures, and more.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the importance of pinpoints & pinpoint construction
  • Orient to the standard celeration chart, label features, & describe data
  • Identify the most appropriate behavior to chart for a learner
  • Record and analyze data on the standard celeration chart
  • Describe and demonstrate frequency building techniques
  • Utilize metrics of the standard celeration chart to inform decisions
  • Describe several types of potential change strategies related to charted data
